In his autobiography entitled " "Ecce Homo" Friedrich Nietzsche admits to his Polish origin.
He wrote: "My ancestors were Polish noblemen, and after that my instincts were left behind ... (...) I am still enough Polish to give away the rest of the music for one Chopin."
