March 17

On March 17, 2018 at the Grand Theater - National Opera in Warsaw, the first presentation of a copy of the Buchholtz piano - Warsaw's Chopin instrument will be held. This unusual event will refer to the famous concert of Chopin in the National Theater at Krasińskich Square, where also on the Buchholtz piano, on March 17, 1830, the young composer premiered his Piano Concerto in F minor op. 21.

On TVP 1, you will be able to watch live broadcast of the concert at 21.20 (March 17), and on Sunday (March 18) also on TVP 1 at 14.40 a documentary film about the reconstruction of Chopin's Warsaw piano will be broadcast. I strongly encourage you to follow these historical events for the development of the piano. This is a supplement to the issues that formed the theoretical part of the "Piano e Forte" contest.
